CLEF Guidelines

The Consumer Law Enforcement Forum (CLEF) was a project which revieved funding under the European Commission’s 2005 call for specific projects in the field of consumer affairs.The project started on 1 October 2006 and run for three years. Here you will be able to find the Enforcement Guidelines.

These guidelines are the outcome of the CLEF project. They consist of:

  • General guidelines on consumer redress;
  • Checklists for consumer organisations’ strategy on collective redress;
  • Specific guidelines for collective actions in competition, unfair commercial practices, contract law and tort law, and financial services
